Zscaler built its entire business around one idea: the traditional network perimeter doesn’t work anymore. Instead of funneling traffic through on-prem firewalls, every connection passes through Zscaler’s global cloud, where it’s inspected and secured in real time.

The company’s Zero Trust Exchange handles over 300 billion transactions daily, making it one of the largest inline security clouds on the planet. It connects users directly to applications — not to the corporate network — which drastically shrinks the attack surface.

Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) protects outbound traffic, while Zscaler Private Access (ZPA) replaces VPNs for internal app access. There’s also Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) for monitoring end-user performance across SaaS and internal apps.

Enterprises like Siemens and the U.S. Department of Defense have deployed Zscaler at massive scale. The platform’s architecture doesn’t rely on appliances, which means there’s nothing to patch, rack, or maintain on-site. That’s a big deal for security teams already stretched thin.
